Hypnotherapy is a completely natural technique that allows you to get rid of fears and negative feelings and change negative behaviour and habit patterns.

The definition of hypnosis is ‘a state of deep relaxation within the body and a state of increased and heightened awareness within the mind’. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is a wakeful state of more focussed attention, awareness and suggestibility.

During this relaxed state, also known as ‘trance’, hypnosis allows you to access your creative potential, which is how you are able to delete negative thoughts and re-program any unwanted behaviour, habit patterns or beliefs. You stay in complete control during trance, not the hypnotist.

Many conditions respond well to hypnotherapy (see treatments). Your goal is agreed at the beginning of your initial session. Therapy is usually short-term, taking just a few sessions, as results can be relatively fast – some issues may even be resolved within 1 or 2 sessions.

Your initial session lasts approx. 90 mins, which includes a full consultation i.e. case history (strictly confidential), an explanation of hypnosis and treatment.
